The biggest surprise of round 1 in BasketLigaen took place in Horsens where host Horsens IC beat Amager 94-76 on Friday evening. They outrebounded Amager 44-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Horsens IC made 7 blocks. Ugandan-American Deng Geu (203-97, college: N.Texas) fired 27 points and 8 rebounds for the winners.
