Date: October 7, 2020
SBS Ostrava's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat U19 Chance (0-4) 93-68 on Wednesday. SBS Ostrava dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to U19 Chance's 36 and made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. SBS Ostrava forced 28 U19 Chance turnovers and outrebounded them 43-32 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by Serbian-Bosnian center Nikolina Zubac (188-98) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds and Slovakian point guard Tereza Motycakova (170-92) supported her with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five SBS Ostrava players scored in double figures. Even 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by guard Simona Ruzkova (170-99) did not help to save the game for U19 Chance. Center Natalie Horsakova (186-1) added 10 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SBS Ostrava (1-3) left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Chomutov. It was U19 Chance's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. SBS Ostrava will meet higher ranked Slavia (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. U19 Chance will play against Slovanka MB (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
