Regular Season Round 3: Dorsten - Bonn 2 82-91

Quite upsetting was Dorsten's (#7) home defeat in a game versus Bonn 2 91-82. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Dorsten's players. The best player for the winners was Philipp Gruber (193-96) who scored 28 points and 5 rebounds. American point guard Jeremy Lewis (185-86, college: St.Thomas, TX) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists. Lewis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Bonn 2 players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Mark Gordon (196, college: Keiser) who recorded a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and center Wilhelm Koehler (206-88) added 9 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bonn 2 will meet at home Dragons Rhoendorf (#4) in the next round. Dorsten will play against Grevenbroich (#5) and hope to win that game.
