Regular Season Round 1: Fos-Provence - St-Quentin 73-71

A very close game took place in Fos-sur-Mer between Provence Basket and Saint-Quentin. Provence Basket got a very close home victory over Saint-Quentin. Provence Basket managed to escape with a 2-point win 73-71 on Friday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Provence Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American-German guard Kevin McClain (190-96, college: Belmont) stepped up and scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: PFW) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Hugo Besson (191-1) responded with 28 points and Vincentian-Canadian forward Lien Phillip (203-89, college: Windsor) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Provence Basket will meet Poitiers on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Saint-Quentin will have a break next round.
