Regular Season Round 8: Svitavy - Kolin 79-89

Kolin can celebrate finally their first win this season after one consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Svitavy, where they defeated Svitavy (1-6) 89-79 on Saturday. Kolin made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was center Jiri Jelinek (204-87, agency: Octagon Europe) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Lee Skinner (198-92, college: Wofford) chipped in 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Marek Welsch (180-99, college: JSU) produced 19 points and 4 assists and naturalized Slovakian point guard Roman Marko (192-86) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Kolin and five Svitavy players scored in double figures. Kolin (1-1) left bottom position moving up to eighth place. Svitavy lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. Kolin are looking forward to face higher ranked Kralovsti sokoli (#7) in Hradec Kralove in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Svitavy will play on the road against Olomoucko (#11) in Prostejov and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
