Regular Season Round 2: Partizan NiS - Buducnost 99-101

Important game to mention about took place in Beograd. Montenegrin Buducnost saved a 2-point victory on the road edging Serbian Partizan NiS 101-99 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Buducnost made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Partizan NiS was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Justin Cobbs (191-91, college: California, agency: BeoBasket) notched 27 points and 8 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and center Danilo Nikolic (205-93, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 21 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Even 24 points and 7 assists by guard Ognjen Jaramaz (193-95, agency: BeoBasket) did not help to save the game for Partizan NiS. American guard Codi Miller-McIntyre (191-94, college: Wake Forest) added 15 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Five Buducnost and four Partizan NiS players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Buducnost will play against Borac in Cacak in the next round where they are favorite. Partizan NiS's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beograd to the arena FMP.
