Regular Season Round 6: Toyota A. - Yamanashi QB 79-64

WJBL top team - Toyota A. (4-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Yamanashi QB (1-6) in Nagoya 79-64. They outrebounded Yamanashi QB 47-34 including 20 on the offensive glass. The former international power forward Evelyn Mawuli (180-95) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Aika Hirata (177-2) supported her with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by forward Aimi Wakahara (171-96) did not help to save the game for Yamanashi QB. Guard Uchibori Murasaki (165-94) added 7 points and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyota A. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in West with 4-0 record. Yamanashi QB lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with six games lost. Toyota A. will again meet at home Yamanashi QB (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. Yamanashi QB will have a break next round.
