Regular Season Round 3: Buducnost - Borac C 86-83

Important game to mention about took place in Podgorica. Montenegrin Buducnost (3-0) saved a 3-point victory at home edging Serbian Borac (1-2) 86-83 on Saturday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Buducnost made 23-of-27 charity shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Buducnost outrebounded Borac 32-20 including a 24-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Borac was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Nikola Ivanovic (190-94, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 5 assists. Point guard Petar Popovic (195-96, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 16 points for the winners. American guard Bryce Jones (183-94, college: Murray St.) answered with 21 points and 7 assists and Uros Carapic (195-96) added 17 points in the effort for Borac. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Buducnost will play against FMP (#11) in Beograd in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Borac will play at home against Mornar Bar to get more than just one victory in their record.
