Regular Season Round 5: Dorsten - Hamm 93-82

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Hamm (0-5) lost on the road to eleventh ranked Dorsten (2-3) 93-82 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Dorsten especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. American forward Mark Gordon (196, college: Keiser) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Jonas Peters (197-97) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Dorsten players scored in double figures. Canadian-Polish forward Konrad Tota (196-80, college: Dickinson St.) answered with 29 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Darreon Tolliver (201-92, college: York, NE) added 16 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Hamm. Hamm's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Dorsten moved-up to ninth place in West, which they share with Loewen and Bonn 2. Newly promoted Hamm still closes the standings with five games lost. Dorsten will face higher ranked Herford (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hamm will play against Bonn 2 (#11) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
