Regular Season Round 4: Mladost ZE - Radnicki KG 116-114

The most exciting game of round 4 in the KLS took place in Zemun. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Radnicki KG (2-2) to third ranked Mladost ZE (3-1) 116-114 in the game for the third place. Radnicki KG cut a 15-point first quarter deficit to two at the end of the game. Mladost ZE made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Radnicki KG turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of French Stephane Gombauld (205-97, agency: Slash Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). American swingman Trey Drechsel (198-96, college: GCU) contributed with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Ivan Nedeljkovic (197-92) replied with 43 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) and the former international center Rasko Katic (208-80, agency: BeoBasket) added 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Radnicki KG. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mladost ZE maintains third position with 3-1 record behind leader Vojvodina NS. Newly promoted Radnicki KG keeps the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with 7 other teams. Mladost ZE are looking forward to face Tamis (#8) in Pancevo in the next round where they are favorite. Radnicki KG will play at home against Sloboda U. (#12) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
