Regular Season Round 6: Shinshu BW - Hitachi SRT 61-72

Bottom-ranked Shinshu BW is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to eighth ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (3-3) 72-61. The best player for the winners was American Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. Beninese forward Muusa Dama (207-96, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: WSU, agency: Wasserman) who recorded 31 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) added 6 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hitachi Sunrockers have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Shinshu BW still closes the standings with six games lost. Hitachi Sunrockers' next round opponent will be higher ranked Toshiba Thunders (#4) in Kanagawa and it may be quite challenging game. Shinshu BW will play on the road against San-en NeoPhoenix (#9) in Hamamatsu and hopes to get finally their first victory.
