Guangsha Lions crushed at home Sharks by 28 points 122-94, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. Guangsha Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Sharks' 44. Guangsha Lions forced 23 Sharks turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Sharks were plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Sun Minghui (187-96) stepped up and scored 41 points (!!!), 7 assists and 7 steals for the winners and the former international center Jinqiu Hu (210-97) chipped in 31 points and 12 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). At the losing side point guard Hanchen Luo (185-94) responded with 20 points and 5 assists and Zheng Liu (192-90) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Guangsha Lions will face Bayi Rockets in Ningbo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sharks will play at home against Loongs and hope to win that game.
