Regular Season Round 3: TNT Ka Tropa - Phoenix 110-91

TNT Ka Tropa smashed Phoenix in Makati 110-91. TNT Ka Tropa dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Phoenix's 36. They outrebounded Phoenix 51-39 including 22 on the offensive glass. TNT Ka Tropa looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when TNT Ka Tropa made 10 blocks. 31 personal fouls committed by Phoenix helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Roger-Ray Pogoy (189-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward John-Paul Erram (203-89) helped adding 18 points and 15 rebounds. Five TNT Ka Tropa players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was naturalized Canadian guard Matthew Wright (193-91, college: St.Bonaventure) with 31 points and 6 rebounds (went 13 for 13 at the free throw line !!!) and naturalized American forward Jason Perkins (193-92, college: VCSU) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Phoenix will play next round against strong Ginebra Kings trying to get back on the winning streak. TNT Ka Tropa will try to continue on its current victory against Blackwater Elite in Caloocan City.
