Regular Season Round 4: Lokomotiv - Andorra 76-61

The game between closely ranked teams ended with third ranked Russian Lokomotiv's (3-1) home victory over 4th ranked Spanish Andorra (1-3) 76-61 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Lokomotiv led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Andorra's 20. Lokomotiv had a 36-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kevin Hervey (206-96, college: UT Arlington) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import center Alan Williams (201-93, college: UCSB, agency: Wasserman) who added 10 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Icelandic guard Haukur Palsson (197-92, college: Maryland) responded with 12 points and Czech forward David Jelinek (195-90, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 13 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Lokomotiv moved-up to second place in Group C, which they share with Monaco. Loser Andorra keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Lokomotiv will face league's second-placed Monaco on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Andorra will play against Lietkabelis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
