Regular Season Round 3: Aix-Maurienne - Gries/Oberhoffen 93-83

An interesting game took place in Aix-les-Bains where Gries/Oberhoffen (1-2) was upset on the court of Aix-Maurienne (1-0) 93-83 on Friday. Aix-Maurienne looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Kadri Moendadze (190-94) who scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Finnish Henri Kantonen (198-97, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Aix-Maurienne players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Brandon Edwards (198-91, college: UT Arlington) who recorded 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and power forward Louis Cassier (202-97) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Aix-Maurienne will meet ADA Blois on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gries/Oberhoffen will play against Denain Voltaire (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
