Very predictable result when fourth ranked Westerstede (4-1) smashed at home 10th ranked Vechta-2 (1-2) 88-64 on Saturday. Westerstede dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Vechta-2's 30. Westerstede forced 21 Vechta-2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Vechta-2's players. American forward Arnold Fripp (201-93, college: Coppin St.) scored 24 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Manuel Bojang (184-1) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Marlin Mason (201-93, college: CSU) with 17 points and Noah Janen scored 15 points. Vechta-2's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Westerstede have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in North, which they share with Neustadt TSV and Langenhagen. Loser Vechta-2 keeps the tenth position with two games lost. Westerstede will face Berlin BG 2000 (#14) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Vechta-2 will play against Stade (#7) and hope to win that game.
