The game in Anjo was also quite interesting. Second ranked Mitsubishi K. (7-3) played at the court of 5th ranked Aishin AW (1-7). Mitsubishi K. did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 85-67 on Saturday. Mitsubishi K. looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Aishin AW's players. It was a good game for international point guard Mai Kawai (171-96) who led her team to a victory with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international swingman Aya Watanabe (169-92) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Mitsubishi K. players scored in double figures. International Kiho Miyashita (178-98) answered with 19 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Rui Kato (172-95) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Aishin AW. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Mitsubishi K.. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fujitsu RW and Hitachi Cougars. Aishin AW lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the fifth place with seven games lost. Mitsubishi K. will have a break next round. Aishin AW will play on the road against the league's second-placed Toyota A. (#2) in Nagoya and hope to win that game.
