Regular Season Round 5: Bakken - Naestved 110-80

Everything could happen in Aarhus at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Bakken and second-ranked Naestved had identical 3-1 record. This time Bakken used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Naestved 110-80 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game without a history. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Bakken outrebounded Naestved 39-22 including 25 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. Bakken looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Naestved's players. American players dominated the game. Point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: EKU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Forward Deshawn Stephens (203-89, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Guard Alante Fenner (196-93, college: SSU) answered with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and center Jarel Spellman (208-96, college: Sacred Heart, agency: Players Group) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Naestved. Five Bakken and four Naestved players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion (4-1) moved-up to second place, which they share with Svendborg. Naestved at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Bakken will face Horsens IC (#5) on the road in the next round. Naestved will play against the league's leader Randers and hope to win that game.
