Regular Season Round 4: Cholet - Monaco 88-72

Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Cholet (3-1) defeated at home 9th ranked Monaco (1-2) 88-72. Strangely Monaco outrebounded Cholet 45-32 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Monaco's players. 24 personal fouls committed by Monaco helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for guard Leopold Delaunay (193-1) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Point guard Nathan De Sousa (187-3) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five Cholet players scored in double figures. Cholet's coach Regis Boissie allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Monaco Vincent Vermillac (193-1) answered with 20 points and Senegalese center Mouhamadou Cisse (208-1) added 8 points and 16 rebounds in the effort for Monaco. Cholet moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Le Mans. Monaco at the other side keeps the ninth position with two games lost. Cholet's next round opponent will be Nanterre (#6) on the road.
