There was no surprise when 7th ranked Trelleborg (1-3) was crushed on the road by leader Kalmar (4-0) 107-80 on Saturday. Kalmar dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Trelleborg's 34. They outrebounded Trelleborg 44-16 including a 21-0 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kalmar looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Slovenian Jan Tratnik (190-89) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 17 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and point guard Eddie Alm (187-95) chipped in 22 points. Four Kalmar players scored in double figures. Guard Jordan-Gerami Lou (183-97, agency: Epic Sports Consulting LLC) responded with 27 points and 5 assists and Bosnian point guard Nebojsa Maksimovic (184-92) scored 11 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Kalmar. Newly promoted Kalmar maintains second place with 4-0 record behind leader IK Eos. Trelleborg lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with three games lost.
