Kronberg's 31-point home win over 4th ranked Saarlouis 115-84 was very exciting. They outrebounded Saarlouis 52-35 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kronberg looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Saarlouis' players. Center Florian Dietrich (203-0) had a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and guard Tim Steiner (186-92) chipped in 32 points and 4 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was naturalized Bosnian center Muharem Mujkanovic (204-88) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and guard Edgar Schwarz (185-96) scored 20 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Five Kronberg and four Saarlouis players scored in double figures. Saarlouis' coach Dominic Doerr gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Kronberg (1-1) left bottom position moving up to third place in South-West North, which they share with Limburg. Loser Saarlouis still closes the standings with one game lost. Kronberg will face Giessen Pointers (#5) on the road in the next round. Saarlouis will play against Limburg and hope to get finally their first victory.
