Regular Season Round 8: Prievidza - Levice 76-75

The most exciting game of round 8 in the SBL took place in Prievidza. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Levice (3-4) to seventh ranked Prievidza (3-4) 76-75 in the game for the third place. Slovenian guard Miha Vasl (192-92) saved the victory by scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Matej Majercak (188-99) contributed with 16 points and 8 assists for the winners. The former international center Boris Bojanovsky (217-93, college: FSU) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Henri Wade-Chatman (188-92, college: Edinboro) added 20 points in the effort for Levice. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Prievidza moved-up to third place, which they share with Iskra Svit and Levice. Prievidza is looking forward to face league's second-placed Lucenec on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Levice will play against Inter Bratislava and is hoping to win this game.
