Regular Season Round 7: Boulogne - Kaysersberg 69-62

There was no surprise in Boulogne-sur-Mer where 10th ranked Kaysersberg (1-3) was defeated by fourth ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (4-2) 69-62. SO Maritime Boulogne forced 19 Kaysersberg turnovers. It was a very good performance for power forward Mickael Var (205-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds. American-DR Congolese forward Cedric Kuakumensah (204-93, college: Brown) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Melvyn Govindy (212-97) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Lithuanian point guard Dovydas Redikas (193-92) added 3 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Kaysersberg. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SO Maritime Boulogne have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Stade Rochelais and Lorient. Kaysersberg lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. SO Maritime Boulogne will play against CFBB (#9) in Paris in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kaysersberg will play at home against the league's second-placed Andrezieux to get more than just one victory in their record.
