Regular Season Round 3: Amager - Herlev 72-61

The biggest surprise of round 3 in Dameligaen took place in Kastrup where host Amager (2-0) beat Herlev (2-1) 72-61 on Tuesday evening. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-61. Amager outrebounded Herlev 47-31 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Anna Seilund (174-93, college: USF) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international guard Ena Viso (179-93, college: SDSU) chipped in 9 points and 17 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was international guard Ida Preetzmann (175-90, college: TCU) who recorded 17 points and 4 assists and forward Laura Ziegler (186-2) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Herlev will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest. Amager will try to continue on its current victory against Horsholm on the road.
