Regular Season Round 10: Shiga L-Stars - Shimane SM 80-82

The most interesting game of round 10 was only two-point a home defeat of 5th ranked Shiga L-Stars (4-6) to fourth ranked Shimane Magic (5-5) 82-80 in the game for the fourth place. It ended the two-game winning streak of Shiga L-Stars. Shimane Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American DeMon Brooks (202-92, college: Davidson) scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Perrin Buford (198-94, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) responded with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Australian center Angus Brandt (208-89, college: Oregon St.) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Shimane Magic maintains fourth position with 5-5 record. Shiga L-Stars at the other side keep the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Hitachi SRT and Osaka E.. Shimane Magic are looking forward to face San-en NeoPhoenix (#10) in Hamamatsu in the next round where they are favorite. Shiga L-Stars will play on the road against Toyota Alvark (#5) in Tokyo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
