Spanish leader Unicaja Malaga delivered the fourth victory on Wednesday night. This time they beat 6th ranked German ratiopharm Ulm (1-4) 81-76. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was American-Ivorian center Deon Thompson (204-88, college: UNC, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 14 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Guard Francisco Alonso (193-96, college: UNCG) chipped in 21 points. American-German center Dylan Osetkowski (206-96, college: Texas) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Troy Caupain (193-95, college: Cincinnati) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Four ratiopharm Ulm players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Unicaja Malaga maintains first place in Group B with 4-1 record. Loser ratiopharm Ulm stay at the bottom position with four games lost. Unicaja Malaga will face league's second-placed Levallois on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. ratiopharm Ulm will play against Mornar Bar (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
