Regular Season Round 10: Kawasaki BT - Niigata A. 92-69

Rather expected game in Kanagawa where 7th ranked Niigata A. (4-7) was crushed by fifth ranked Toshiba Thunders (8-2) 92-69 on Wednesday. Toshiba Thunders dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Niigata A.'s 32. International power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Naoto Tsuji (185-89) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Five Toshiba Thunders players scored in double figures. At the losing side Bahamas Mark StFort (200-88, college: Warner) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Niigata A. dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. Toshiba Thunders will face league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Niigata A. will play at home against the league's leader Tochigi B. (#1) and hope to win that game.
