The game in Taiyuan was quite interesting. Second ranked Jiangsu Phoenix (9-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Flame (5-4). Jiangsu Phoenix managed to secure a 4-point victory 59-55 on Wednesday. Strangely Flame outrebounded Jiangsu Phoenix 47-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. Jiayin Jiang (183-95) fired 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Chenyan Chenyan (200-99) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Center Jinqiu Fu (188-96) produced 7 points and 24 rebounds and international point guard Tongtong Wu (176-94) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Jiangsu Phoenix maintains second position with 9-1 record having just one point less than leader Inner M. Flame at the other side keeps the seventh place with four games lost. Jiangsu Phoenix will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Flame will play at home against Dragons (#15) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
