Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Kagawa FA (1-8) was defeated on the road by third ranked Kumamoto V. (6-3) 93-84 on Wednesday. Kumamoto V. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Kaito Ishikawa (188-90) stepped up and scored 22 points and 7 assists for the winners and Spanish center David Doblas (208-81) chipped in 16 points and 14 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists and Australian forward Rhys Vague (206-96) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Kumamoto V. and four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. Kumamoto V. moved-up to second place, which they share with Fukuoka R. and Fukushima. Kagawa FA lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost. Kumamoto V. will face Bambitious N. (#6) in Nara in the next round. Kagawa FA will play at home against the league's second-placed Rizing and hope to win that game.
