Very expected game when 17th ranked Gipuzkoa (1-6) was smashed by twelfth ranked Movil Estudiantes (4-4) in Madrid 80-61 on Wednesday. Italian swingman Alessandro Gentile (201-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. American center Alec Brown (216-92, college: Green Bay) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Movil Estudiantes players scored in double figures. Colombian center Jaime Echenique (211-97, college: Wichita St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and Montenegrin Dino Radoncic (202-99) added 10 points in the effort for Gipuzkoa. Gipuzkoa's coach Marcelo Nicola rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Movil Estudiantes moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Unicaja and Manresa. Gipuzkoa lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventeenth position with six games lost. Movil Estudiantes will face higher ranked Joventut (#4) in Badalona in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Gipuzkoa will play on the road against Real Betis (#19) in Sevilla and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
