Very predictable result in Las Palmas where eleventh ranked Araski (3-4) defeated bottom-ranked Gran Canaria (1-7) 63-58 on Wednesday. Araski forced 20 Gran Canaria turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Laura Quevedo (185-96, college: Miami, FL) who scored 15 points. American forward Joy Adams (180-93, college: Iona) chipped in 11 points. American guard Sparkle Taylor (178-95, college: UTEP) produced 21 points and Mali power forward Sika Kone (190-2) added 10 points respectively for the hosts.
