TNT Ka Tropa (5-1) recorded its first loss in Makati on Thursday night. Hosts were defeated by eleventh ranked NLEX RW (2-5) 109-98. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of TNT Ka Tropa. NLEX RW made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 TNT Ka Tropa turnovers and outrebounded them 50-37 including 38 on the defensive glass. 30 personal fouls committed by TNT Ka Tropa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Kevin Alas (183-91) fired 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Kiefer-Isaac Ravena (181-93) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Jayson Castro-William (180-86) produced 27 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Roger-Ray Pogoy (189-92) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Five TNT Ka Tropa players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. NLEX RW moved-up to tenth place. TNT Ka Tropa at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. NLEX RW will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. TNT Ka Tropa will play at home against Hotshots and is hoping to win this game.
