Rather predictable result in Weinan where tenth ranked Fujian Nanan (5-5) outscored 14th ranked Red Wolves (2-8) 103-82 on Thursday. Fujian Nanan made 18-of-18 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. Fujian Nanan looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Taiwanese forward Yu-Chun Wei (173-92) scored 27 points and 7 assists (made all of her nine free throws !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Tingyi Lai (184-1) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Five Fujian Nanan players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Yuyu Chen (170-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Jiaying Ma (190-97) scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Red Wolves' coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Fujian Nanan moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Guangdong. Red Wolves lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with eight games lost. Fujian Nanan will meet at home higher ranked Magic Deer (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Red Wolves will play against Henan Phoenix (#11) and hope to secure a win.
