Regular Season Round 3: Kutaisi - TSU 97-69

Kutaisi smashed TSU at home 97-69. The game was mostly controlled by Kutaisi. TSU managed to win second period 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded TSU 42-30 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kutaisi shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international Akaki Dvalishvili (207-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. American point guard Kaheem Ransom (183-93, college: SHSU) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. Kutaisi's coach Kote Tugushi felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International swingman Saba Lobjanidze (197-93) replied with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American point guard Brandon Sly (180-96, college: ASU) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for TSU. Five Kutaisi and four TSU players scored in double figures. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
