Regular Season Round 6: AZS PCz - MKS DG 2 74-83

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked MKS DG 2 (3-1) beat 5th ranked AZS PCz (3-3) in Czestochowa 83-74 on Saturday. MKS DG 2 outrebounded AZS PCz 39-27 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for MKS DG 2 especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. It was a good game for Dawid Boryka (188-97) who led his team to a victory with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Kamil Wojciak (193-85) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four MKS DG 2 players scored in double figures. Forward Nikodem Kowalski (200-95) replied with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Adrian Placzek (182-85) added 13 points and 7 assists in the effort for AZS PCz. AZS PCz's coach Dariusz Szynkiel rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. MKS DG 2 moved-up to second place, which they share with Miedzychod and Koszalin Zak. Loser AZS PCz dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. MKS DG 2 will face league's leader AZS AGH KR in Krakow in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. AZS PCz will play at home against AZS PWSTE (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
