Regular Season Round 6: RIG Mark - Norrort 77-90

There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Taby Basket (2-3) beat 6th ranked RIG Mark (2-4) in Kinna 90-77. It looked good early as RIG Mark took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Taby Basket had a 30-20 second period charge getting the lead and RIG Mark was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-90. Taby Basket made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Egal Saleman (201-88) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Hannes Widell (183-94) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. Four Taby Basket players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Sebastian Forsling (211-2) who recorded 14 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Romeo Myrthil (186-2) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively. RIG Mark's coach Michael Bree rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Taby Basket moved-up to sixth place. Newly promoted RIG Mark dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Taby Basket's next round opponent will be Team4Q (#11) in Helsingborg where they are favorite. RIG Mark will play on the road against Ockelbo (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
