Regular Season Round 7: Dorsten - Ibbenbueren 85-100

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Ibbenbueren (5-1) defeated on the road 10th ranked Dorsten (2-5) 100-85. Ibbenbueren dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Dorsten's 38. It was a very good performance for Marcello Schroeder (201-87) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Benjamin Fumey (203-87, college: Valpo) contributed with 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American forward Mark Gordon (196, college: Keiser) answered with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized Albanian point guard Nderim Pelaj (182-88) added 17 points and 5 assists in the effort for Dorsten. Four Dorsten players scored in double figures. Dorsten's coach Franjo Lukenda rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ibbenbueren keeps a position of West leader. Dorsten at the other side keeps the tenth place with five games lost. They share the position with Bonn 2. Ibbenbueren will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dorsten will play again on the road against the league's leader Ibbenbueren (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
