Regular Season Round 5: FMP - Borac C 93-87

One of the most interesting games of round 5 was a derby match between two teams from Serbia. The game took place in Beograd where eleventh ranked FMP won against visiting Borac (1-3) 93-87. FMP made 25-of-31 charity shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Borac was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Marko Radonjic (191-93) nailed 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and Sava Lesic (205-88) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Bryce Jones (183-94, college: Murray St.) came up with 15 points and 7 assists and guard Radovan Djokovic (196-96, agency: BeoBasket) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Borac in the defeat. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. FMP will play against higher ranked Cedevita Olimpija (#4) in Ljubljana in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Borac will play at home against Mega SoccerBet (#6) to get more than just one victory in their record.
