Regular Season Round 8: North Port - TNT Ka Tropa 87-112

PBA top team - TNT Ka Tropa (6-1) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked North Port (1-5) in Pasig 112-87. They outrebounded North Port 53-36 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. TNT Ka Tropa looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by North Port's players. The winners were led by naturalized American guard Bobby-Ray Parks (193-93) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and forward Troy Rosario (201-92) supported him with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four TNT Ka Tropa players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds by naturalized German forward Christian Standhardinger (206-89, college: Hawaii) did not help to save the game for North Port. Jervy Cruz (193-86) added 14 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TNT Ka Tropa maintains first position with 6-1 record. Loser North Port keeps the eleventh place with five games lost. TNT Ka Tropa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. North Port will play against Meralco Bolts (#7) in Manila and hope to win that game.
