Bottom-ranked Guarulhos is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their third consecutive match to fifth ranked Santo Andre (2-1) 58-40 on Tuesday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Santo Andre. Guarulhos managed to win fourth quarter 15-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Santo Andre held Guarulhos to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 38.5 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Guarulhos 45-33 including 32 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by international center Maria Ferreira (192-94) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and swingman Ariadna Felipe (184-83) supported her with 4 points and 10 rebounds. Even 12 points and 8 rebounds by Maiara Dias (-2) did not help to save the game for Guarulhos. Maisa Dias (-2) added 8 points for lost side. Guarulhos' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Santo Andre moved-up to third place. Loser Guarulhos still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Pro-Esport S.. Santo Andre will meet league's leader Ituano on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Guarulhos will play against Pro-Esport (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
