Very important is a road loss of second ranked TNT Ka Tropa (6-3) against eighth ranked Hotshots (4-4) on Wednesday night. Visiting TNT Ka Tropa was defeated by Hotshots in Pasig City 102-92. Hotshots dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to TNT Ka Tropa's 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Paul Dalistan (185-89) who scored 27 points and 4 assists. Point guard Christopher Banchero (186-90, college: Seattle Pacific) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. Four Hotshots players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized American guard Bobby-Ray Parks (193-93) who recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Jayson Castro-William (180-86) added 25 points and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hotshots have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 4-4 record. Loser TNT Ka Tropa keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with Phoenix. Hotshots will meet at home higher ranked Rain or Shine (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TNT Ka Tropa will play against the league's leader Ginebra Kings (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
