No shocking result in a game in Pasig where first ranked Ginebra Kings (7-2) won against bottom-ranked North Port (1-7) 112-100 on Wednesday. Ginebra Kings dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to North Port's 42. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists. Naturalized American point guard Stanley Pringle (184-87, college: Penn St., agency: Pensack Sports) stepped up and scored 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and swingman Aljon Mariano (190-92) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was naturalized German forward Christian Standhardinger (206-89, college: Hawaii) with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Kevin Ferrer (194-93) scored 23 points and 5 assists. Five Ginebra Kings and four North Port players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Ginebra Kings have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-2 record. North Port lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. Ginebra Kings will face league's second-placed TNT Ka Tropa in Makati in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. North Port will play at home against Alaska Aces (#4) and hope to win that game.
