Regular Season Round 8: SDUSHOR - RGUOR 48-84

Bottom-ranked SDUSHOR is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to ninth ranked RGUOR (2-3) 84-48. The game without a history. RGUOR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding SDUSHOR to just 7 points in first quarter. RGUOR dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to SDUSHOR's 20. RGUOR forced 25 SDUSHOR turnovers and outrebounded them 52-32 including a 21-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by SDUSHOR's players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Vadzim Paiko (190-4) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds and forward Aleksey Shevchenko (194-4) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four RGUOR players scored in double figures. Aleksander Lavrenov (198-4) responded with 8 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Mikita Dashkevich (175-1) scored 10 points. SDUSHOR's coach Eduard Kemen gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. RGUOR moved-up to sixth place. SDUSHOR at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. RGUOR will play against Grodno GrSU (#9) at home in the next round. SDUSHOR will play against Gomel and hopes to get finally their first victory.
