Astros held off Soles to reach the semifinal series. Astros well out of reach of Soles shooting 76.1 percent from the field and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Astros especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 66.7 percentage. Venezuelan point guard Heissler Guillent (186-86) scored 24 points and 7 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Gustavo Ayon (207-85, college: SJSU) chipped in 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. Astros' coach Sergio Valdeolmillos used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Argentinian guard Erik Thomas (195-95, college: New Orleans) responded with 23 points and American Joe Lawson (201-92, college: Indianapolis, agency: Inception Sports) scored 14 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
