Regular Season Round 7: Enisey-2 - Unics-2 76-89

Unics-2 can celebrate finally their first win this season after six consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Krasnoyarsk, where they defeated Enisey-2 (1-2) 89-76 on Friday. The game without a history. Unics-2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Unics-2 forced 19 Enisey-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 38-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for forward Konstantin Ekimov (205-0, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Forward Ilya Karpenko (199-1) helped adding 18 points. At the losing side forward Ivan Vashchenko (192-2) responded with 13 points and 4 assists and center Dmitriy Ivanov (196-1) scored 12 points. Five Unics-2 and four Enisey-2 players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Unics-2 maintains twelfth place with 1-6 record. Loser Enisey-2 keeps the tenth position with two games lost. Unics-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Enisey-2 will play again against Unics-2 (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
