Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Granada and one of their biggest challengers Real Murcia had identical 2-1 record. This time Granada used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Murcia 73-67 on Saturday night. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese center Bamba Fall (217-86, college: SMU, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 rebounds and American-Liberian swingman Thomas Bropleh (196-91, college: Boise St., agency: Duran International) who added 19 points during the contest. At the losing side British guard Patrick Whelan (196-96, college: William Jewell, agency: Duran International) responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds and Jamaican power forward Clint Robinson (203-94, college: UIC) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Granada maintains third position in Gold with 3-1 record having just three point less than leader Breogan. Newly promoted Real Murcia keeps the fourth place with two games lost. Granada will face Real Canoe (#7) in Madrid in the next round. Real Murcia will play on the road against Basquet in Lleida and hope to win that game.
