The game in Manila was also quite interesting. Seventh ranked Hotshots (6-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Rain or Shine (5-4). Hotshots managed to secure a 8-point victory 70-62 on Saturday. Guard Paul Dalistan (185-89) scored 31 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Ian-Paul Sangalang (201-91) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Jewel Ponferrada (196-88) responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and guard Kris Rosales (183-90, college: HIU) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hotshots have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Meralco Bolts and SM Beermen. Rain or Shine lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with four games lost. Hotshots will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Rain or Shine will play against the league's second-placed TNT Ka Tropa (#2) and hope to secure a win.
