A very close game took place in Zaragoza (derby !!!) between La ICL Manresa and Zaragoza. Seventh ranked La ICL Manresa (6-4) got a very close victory on the road over 16th ranked Zaragoza (2-7). La ICL Manresa managed to escape with a 1-point win 103-102 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. La ICL Manresa made 26-of-30 free shots (86.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Belgian-Congolese point guard Jonathan Tabu (189-85) scored 18 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Scott Eatherton (206-91, college: Northeastern, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four La ICL Manresa players scored in double figures. At the losing side German forward Robin Benzing (208-89, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 27 points and Argentinian forward Nicolas Brussino (202-93) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. La ICL Manresa moved-up to sixth place. Zaragoza lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Real Betis and Gran Canaria. La ICL Manresa will meet at home league's second-placed CB Canarias in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Zaragoza will play against Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (#14) in Madrid and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
