Rather expected game when 10th ranked Blackwater Elite (2-9) lost to seventh ranked Hotshots (7-4) in Pasig City 80-95 on Wednesday. Hotshots outrebounded Blackwater Elite 55-41 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Ian-Paul Sangalang (201-91) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Christopher Banchero (186-90, college: Seattle Pacific) accounted for 14 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Hotshots players scored in double figures. Forward Celeponio Trollano (191-92) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Shej-Roi Sumang (177-91) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Blackwater Elite in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hotshots have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Blackwater Elite lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with nine games lost.
