Very important is a home loss of second ranked Aishin Sea Horses (8-5) against fourth ranked Shimane Magic (7-6) on Wednesday night. Host Aishin Sea Horses were crushed by Shimane Magic in Kariya 101-82. Shimane Magic dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Aishin Sea Horses' 34. They outrebounded Aishin Sea Horses 39-25 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Shimane Magic shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 63.6 percentage. Shimane Magic's coach Yukinori Suzuki used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) produced 22 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and point guard Satoshi Nagano (175-95) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Four Aishin Sea Horses players scored in double figures. Shimane Magic maintains fourth place with 7-6 record, which they share with Hitachi SRT. Loser Aishin Sea Horses keep the second position with five games lost. They share it with Alvark T. and Akita NH. Shimane Magic will meet Osaka E. (#5) on the road in the next round.
